The Spatz Theatre team are thrilled to welcome you back into the Spatz Theatre. We are working hard to make sure your next visit to our theatre is a pleasant and safe experience.
In order to offer our patrons the safest and most enjoyable experience possible, the following policies will be in effect through the 2020 season. Thank you for doing your part.
All policies will continue until further notice.
Please refrain from attending an event if you are experiencing COVID related symptoms.
Any patrons exhibiting visible signs of covid related symptoms may be asked to leave.
If you have travelled outside of the Atlantic Bubble and not isolated for 14 days please stay home.
For the time being all tickets will be purchased online and via phone only. (902) 422-6278 ext 500.
No in person ticket sales prior to the event or Box Office services for walk up sales at the door. Tickets must be purchased in advance of the event. All events for the time being will be assigned seating only. Tickets may be purchased in “bubbles” of 1, 2, 3 & 4 seats together. (Tickets will be limited and on a first come first serve basis.)
To reduce the handling of paper tickets, we will only be accepting e-tickets which can be downloaded to your smartphone.
All patrons and Front of House staff will be required to wear masks while in the building. Limited number of disposable masks may be available if you have forgotten your own, however we ask all patrons to please supply their own. Performers will not be required to wear a mask while on stage, in accordance with guidelines from NS Public Health.
Entrance & ExitPatrons will enter the building via Trollope Street entrance.
Patrons will exit the building via Ahern Ave entrance.
All patrons will exit the theatre by row following the event.
There will be sanitization stations available upon entrance to the building, all patrons are asked to please sanitize upon entry. There will be additional sanitation stations just inside the theatre doors for additional measures.
Upon entry into the building a name and phone number will be requested for at least one member of your party. Only upon request from public health officials - the names, e-mail addresses and telephone numbers provided on will be securely shared with the NS Department of Health for the purposes of facilitating contact tracing.
Patrons must remain in their assigned seat only. There will be ushers on staff who are able to assist you to your seat.
To promote physical distancing, washroom capacity is limited and floor markings will indicate safe distancing while in queues.
Cleaning and Disinfection
All high-touch surfaces including door handles, railings, counter surfaces, washroom fixtures and light switches will be cleaned and disinfected prior to, during, and after all events.
Our team follows a comprehensive COVID-19 Operational Plan that provides protocols and procedures to keep staff, artists and visitors safe and to reduce the risk of virus spread. Our plan is informed by the latest advice and guidance of public health officials and includes the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), health checks, physical distancing, and cleaning and disinfection.
